Kallaguan

The strength of Cristalplant® and the delicacy of a flower. The Kallaguan bathtub — brainchild of designer Oriano Favaretto, inspired by the tapering white folds of the calla lily — features a swirling oval shape with a gently asymmetrical rim, reminiscent of a hip bath.
With its compact dimensions, this is a versatile item ideally suited to the role of a sophisticated showpiece, even in a small bathroom. The style is such that the soft contours take centre stage and, thanks to the properties of the Cristalplant® solid surface, create an effect of ethereal whiteness. Especially pleasing to the eye and to the touch.

Cristalplant® — the toughest

Delicate as it may seem, the petal of this lily is really tough, a property assured precisely by the special material used to fashion the Kallaguan, which is guaranteed to keep its shape for a long, long time. Cristalplant® is an innovative solid surface composite, pleasing to the touch, with a matte finish and an appeal similar to that of natural stone. Non-porous, hypoallergenic, and 100% recyclable.

Oriano Favaretto

Oriano was born on 25 April 1956 in Silea (Treviso, Italy) in the Veneto countryside. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts where he had the opportunity to get to know and to engage with Emilio Vedova, a prestigious maestro of the language of gestures and signs. Another important experience that left an indelible mark was the collaboration with Ennio Chiggio whose apprentice and collaborator Oriano became. Among his major professional achievements have been an award in the Competition amongst the Italian Academies, the 1982 Lubiam Prize and the painting experience gained at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. Oriano Favaretto has taken part in important international exhibitions including Events in Milan with Zuccheri and Oira, the travelling exhibition Flowers of Metaphor with Plessi and D’Orazio and the Murano prize in 1987 and 1992. Selection in the frescoes competition for Sacca Fisola Venice. The Golden Lamp award of S.I.L. of Paris in 1993 was especially significant.
